The Research Department Discussion Paper Series is a forum for the preliminary publication of research papers written by economists of the Department on a wide range of subjects relevant to Israel's economy and to economic policy. This series started several decades ago, and research papers from 1999 and thereafter––plus a summary of each paper––are available in their entirety on this site, in PDF format. Details of earlier papers in the series (from 1993) are also shown on the site. The whole series is available in the Bank of Israel library and in the libraries of Israel's universities.
The papers in the series are also available in print, free of charge, and are distributed to public institutions, and to universities and libraries in Israel and abroad.
