| Israel’s foreign exchange reserves at the end of April 2008 stood at $29,334 million, a reduction of $108 million from their level at the end of March 2008. |
| The change derived mainly from: |
| On the one hand, Bank of Israel purchases on the market of about $425 million as part of the plan to increase the foreign exchange reserves over the next two years, and transfers from abroad of about $150 million by the private sector. |
| On the other hand, public sector transfers to abroad of about $440 million and a $240 million revaluation of the forex reserves. |
