Information on opening and closing of branches
    Last update: 04/08/2009
Banks' decisions on the opening or closing of branches are made in accordance with their business considerations, so that all relevant information will be provided for the public by the banks themselves.
In general, banks branches are open every day except for official Israeli holidays and other days when their branches are customarily closed.
A bank that decides to reduce the normal working hours of a branch on a one-time basis, or to close a branch temporarily for a pre-determined period, or to close a branch, or to change a branch's working hours significantly so that it will be closed at times when it normally serves the public, is required to advise its customers in such a way and at times as defined in Directive No. 401 in the Proper Conduct of Banking Business--Opening Days of Banking Corporations' Offices.
