According to the new Bank of Israel Law (5770-2010), the Supervisory Council will publish its main decisions, as well as the minutes of its meetings, in order to increase the transparency of Bank of Israel administration.

By the authority of the Supervisory Council, which is held by Governor of the Bank of Israel Prof. Stanley Fischer until the council is appointed, the Governor decided on May 26, 2011, to extend the appointment of the accounting firm of KPMG Somekh Chaikin as the Bank's external auditor for the preparation of the auditor's report for 2011. This is because the firm was hired by the Bank for the previous four years. The appointment for 2012 will be carried out by the Supervisory Council which will be appointed. The engagement was approved by the Bank's tenders committee. |
